Monday.com is now operating in the AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) region, its first data centre presence in APAC. The company is offering reduced latency and the ability to store data onshore, allowing organisations in sectors such as financial services and health to expand their use of the self-styled work operating system. The move supports the momentum experienced by the company with the launch of its APAC headquarters in Sydney. Monday already operates in AWS regions in the United States and Europe, and its head of infrastructure David Virtser said using local AWS infrastructure increases data resiliency and allows locally generated customer data to be housed onshore in Australia.

Self-styled work operating system monday.com is now running in the AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) region, its first data centre presence in APAC.
Benefits to customers in the region include reduced latency and the ability to store data onshore.
This, the company says, means organisations in sectors such as financial services and health will be able to expand their use of monday.com.
"Offering our customers an option to connect to a local data centre supports the momentum we've experienced in the past year with the launch of our APAC headquarters in Sydney. The region will be invaluable for empowering customer growth, enabling them to securely manage and store their data on local soil for all monday.com products, including monday sales CRM," said monday.com APJ regional vice president Dean Swan.
"We're committed to continually evolving and enhancing our customers' experience, and AWS' Sydney Region will play an integral role in supporting the infrastructure and business requirements of local companies, large and small."
monday.com head of infrastructure David Virtser said "Using local AWS infrastructure increases our data resiliency and allows locally generated customer data to be housed onshore in Australia.
"Onboarding customers to their native and closest data centre will also optimise their platform experience, by reducing latency to end-users, and streamlining rigid compliance processes."
monday.com already operates in AWS regions in the United States and Europe.
